Early July 2026 on the Gold Coast

The SURFACE street art festival is transforming Miami's laneways and walls right on the villa's doorstep through 19 July — a free, family-friendly celebration of live mural painting, laneway concerts and gallery nights that's uniquely Gold Coast. Two unmissable nights at HOTA headline the week: Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox brings its dazzling vintage-swing spectacular on Tuesday, and Gold Logie winner Tom Gleeson rounds out the week with his sharp new stand-up on Friday. Ashton's Great Australian Circus is in its final days at Broadwater Parklands through 12 July, and Noni Hazlehurst's acclaimed The Lark opens at HOTA on Wednesday — with the Very Short Film Festival, Melanie Bracewell and Heathers the Musical all still ahead this month.
